Joey Smith is a day trader who created Day Traders Taxes after he realized that he was paying more than his fair share of taxes. He couldn’t believe how many pitfalls there are when it comes to taxes for Traders; many of which can ruin peoples lives! Joey has helped hundreds of Day Traders across the country learn how to save money and protect themselves from the IRS. He loves to help traders improve their lives with proper tax planning and education.

Joey is also known by the name Jay Mcfarland because for the last 25 years, he has worked as a talk radio show host in Utah, Dallas, and Nevada. When his program director said the name Joey Smith wasn’t a good radio name, he changed it to Jay Mcfarland. He also hosts a popular podcast which helps people navigate the most important issues of the day. In 2020 and 2022 he ran for United States Congress as Jay Mcfarland. Before Joey got involved with talk radio he owned several restaurants and also worked as the regional manager for a national pizza chain.

Dave Long has been a proud member of the Utah business community for well over 4 decades. He created the largest entertainment and amusement game business in the state; which he built from the ground up! Dave brings a unique and powerful perspective to small businesses. He has a passion for helping others achieve the highest level of success possible.

Dave has also worked in the community as a Lacrosse coach since 1993. One of his proudest accomplishments is helping Westminster College win a national championship in 2008.

Dave also believes in active civic engagement. He served as the campaign manager for JayMac for Congress in 2020 and 2022. But after all that he has achieved, Dave’s proudest accomplishment are his adult children who have each achieved a high level of success in their own right.

Brad has worked as a CPA since 2004. He started as a Supervising Senior Accountant with HintonBurdick in St. George, Utah. He then worked as a CPA with Leon J. Neilson in Centerville, Utah. In 2016, he started his own firm: Neilson Accounting.

Over his 20 years of work as a CPA Brad started to recognize the need for quality tax guidance among the Day Trader community. He could not believe how many Day Traders were experiencing incredible difficulty in finding tax professionals who focus on Day Trading. This is why he joined the team at Day Traders Taxes.

Brad graduated from Brigham Young University in 2002 with a Master’s Degree in accounting and taxes.

Jason has always believed in the importance of education. He has a Bachelor degree in communication and a Masters degree in Education from Westminster College. Jason also has a leadership certificate from Southern Utah University.

He believes strongly in giving back to the community which is why he has served as a basketball coach since 1998. Jason and his wife Stacy are the proud parents of three wonderful children.

Courtney is a serial entrepreneur and he loves to help others find success and pursue their dreams. Over the past two decades he has found success in many sectors including pest control, real estate investment, as a contractor, and as a hard money lender.

He has a Bachelor degree in Spanish from Utah Valley University and a Masters of Education. Courtney also has a certificate of leadership from Southern Utah University. He and his wife are the proud parents of 3 children.

Brad has owned his own web design and hosting company for over 20 years. He consults with small businesses throughout the Intermountain West.

Brad has been involved with Ballroom Dance as a dancer, coach, consultant, and member of organization boards for over 40 years. He also enjoys playing piano, drums, and singing. He loves spending time with his wife and 3 children.
